Toilets, café and parking available at all scheduled venues (Downslink is the furthest away but details will follow).
People will be asked if they’d like to join car share WhatsApp group when they sign up for the series
* For the naked run, please provide your estimated finish time to Tim Wynne or Mark Mellish by the date requested for each event. Please ensure that you do not wear a timing device whilst participating in this event. It is possible to add a run to your device after you have run ) for those that are worried about keeping track of all your hard work.
The results published by each parkrun location will be used to collate the series results. Any queries with your finish time or position should be sent to the parkrun team at that location for resolution. Your four best results will count for your final score, there will be prizes for the winner in both the men’s and women’s categories..
The scoring system is simple; one point for the first, two for second etc. If you are a non-runner at any event your score will be the total number of participants in the series plus 5 (for example: 20 participants make a non-run score of 25).
For the events the scoring is based on finish position, with first receiving one point etc. For age-graded events the scoring will be based on the Age Grading percentage finishers receive in the parkrun results. The higher the percentage the better your finish place. For the ‘naked’ events the scoring will be based on predicting your time and being closest to it on the day.
Members are invited to take part in their club vest/t-shirt and must ensure their parkrun profile lists RAW as their club for the results.
Most importantly, when participating in events in this series please remember to have your barcode available at each event. No barcode, No time, No result. It is your responsibility to remember your barcode.
Entries after the first event will not be accepted. You must be signed up by the date of the first event, even if you are unable to take part on that day.

Runners may use a visual or hearing guide if required.
The History of the parkrun Summer Series.
Originally launched in January 2017 by Portslade Hedgehoppers, the Hedgehoppers parkrun Grand Prix Series is to open to both runners and walkers at the club and follows the parkrun ethos of being open to all – whether you like to run, walk or volunteer at one of the events.
The series is based on eight parkrun events involving all of the Brighton ones, Lancing, Peacehaven and Worthing. All parkruns start at 9am.
The Hedgehoppers parkrun Grand Prix was developed from suggestions by members Bob Page to mirror in some form Arena 80’s super series, and Roy Taylor to fill in a long gap between West Sussex Fun Run League races in the first months of the year caused by various changes to their calendar. The parkrun Grand Prix has developed into an annual competition enabling Hedgehoppers to meet up, run, and socialise at all the local parkruns.
Run Academy Worthing member Stef Ransley felt this was something that could be mirrored and offered to Run Academy members, tailored to the club itself.
The inaugural RAW parkrun Summer Series had its events in 2019. The 2020 summer series was hosted as a ‘not parkrun’ series due to Lockdown, followed by a break in both Winter and Summer Series of 2021 due to restrictions. The series returned in the Summer of 2022.
