* For the naked run, please provide your estimated finish time to Stef Ransley by Wednesday 24th July. Please ensure that you do not wear a watch whilst participating in this event.
Your four best results will count towards your final score and the winners of the men’s and women’s categories will each receive a trophy.
The scoring system is simple; one point for the first, two for second etc. If you are a non-runner at any event your score will be the total number of participants in the series plus 5 (for example: 20 participants make a non-run score of 25).
For three of events the scoring is based on finish position. For two events the scoring will be based on your Age Grading percentage, so the higher the percentage the better your finish place. For the ‘naked’ event the scoring will be based on the closest finishing time to the one estimated in advance.
If a parkrun in the series is cancelled an alternate date will be scheduled during September.
Runners are invited to take part in their club vest. If their parkrun registration is with another club or in a different name than the one you are known as let Stef Ransley know so that she can look out for you in the results.
Most importantly, when participating in events in this series please remember to take your barcode to each event. No barcode, No time, No result. It is your responsibility to remember your barcode.
Entries after the first event will not be accepted. You must be signed up by the date of the first event, even if you are unable to take part on that day.
Please note that all parkruns start at 9am. Paid for parking is in operation at Bognor, Lancing Beach Green and (depending where you park) Worthing.

The History of the parkrun Summer Series.
Originally launched in January 2017 by Portslade Hedgehoppers, the Hedgehoppers parkrun Grand Prix Series is to open to both runners and walkers at the club and follows the parkrun ethos of being open to all – whether you like to run, walk or volunteer at one of the events.
The series is based on eight parkrun events involving all of the Brighton ones, Lancing, Peacehaven and Worthing. All parkruns start at 9am.
The Hedgehoppers parkrun Grand Prix was developed from suggestions by members Bob Page to mirror in some form Arena 80’s super series, and Roy Taylor to fill in a long gap between West Sussex Fun Run League races in the first months of the year caused by various changes to their calendar. The parkrun Grand Prix has developed into an annual competition enabling Hedgehoppers to meet up, run, and socialise at all the local parkruns.
Run Academy Worthing member Stef Ransley felt this was something that could be mirrored and offered to Run Academy members, tailored to the club itself. The parkrun Summer Series has its inaugural events in the Summer of 2019.
Parkrun Winter Series…….
If the RAW parkrun Summer Series proves popular a Winter Series may be offered.
